Forbes has a long and rewarding working relationship with the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver. Forbes works closely with the University's Departments of Chemistry, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Food, Nutrition and Health as well as the Food Science Program, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences on pre-clinical and clinical development of novel compounds.

Research conducted for Forbes at McGill University in Montreal was instrumental in the commercial application of Reducol™. McGill has been one of the primary sites for clinical studies of Forbes' nutraceutical products.
